Stuart McLean Stuart joined Cambridge Autogleam in September 2008 and has been a great addition. Having been friends with Stuart for many years, Nathan has seen the same desire for perfection and high quality finishes he himself strives for. Having worked at a well respected body shop for 5 years, Stuart already had a lot of the skills and experience and now he is not tied by unreasonable body shop deadlines. Stuart is also impressing customers with his paint correction and attention to detail. Having worked alongside Stuart for several jobs initially, Nathan is more than happy to ‘certify’ Stuart and has given him the ultimate accolade. “Stuart is one of the few people i would allow to work on my own car”.

How and Where We Operate

Nathan is based in Cambridge and Stuart in Bishops Stortford. Although the majority of our work is within 60 miles of these locations, we have worked on small private car collections as far away as Nottingham, Bristol, Tunbridge Wells and Edinburgh so please feel free to contact us from anywhere in the UK for a quote.

Although the Protection details, Gloss Enhancement detail and the Top-Up detail can be performed outdoors weather permitting, we do prefer to work indoors. This ensures we are not affected by weather related obstacles such as dust blowing onto the car or the panels getting either damp or extremely hot. Due to the lighting conditions needed for the Paint Correction detail we can only offer this service for indoor bookings.

We can operate anywhere in the UK and can bring everything we need with us, including water if there is not a good source close to where the detail will be carried out. We will however need electricity to be available. We will also need ample space to move around the car, whether it is indoors or outdoors. 4-6ft all around the car is usually adequate.

Travel is charged at a modest 30p per mile for the round trip from either CB1 or CM23.

The best methods of payment are Cash or Cheques. We can accept Credit / Debit cards by request with a small additional charge.
